Donderdag 27 november: Thanksgiving

In 1621, the American colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn feast together to give thanks for a bountiful harvest after a rather harsh winter. Today, Americans gather  with family and friends on the last Thursday of November to celebrate a day of gratefulness
                                                      "Thanksgiving"

We have reserved the marina meeting room( Halloween party room) Thursday,November 27th start at 02.00pm (14.00hrs) and would like to invite all sailors to join us for a "Friends-giving Potluck". Let's all coming together to celebrate what we are grateful for.

John and I will provide the traditional roasted turkey. We would like those attending to bring a dish to share. We are looking for a variety of traditional dishes as well as some of your own favorite holiday dishes.
Some ideas:
Er komen 80 man te eten en er komen 3 kalkoenen, die het
feestmaal niet overleven
   Mashed potatoes
   Sweet potatoes
   Roasted vegetables
   Assorted pies
   Stuffing
   Cranberry sauce
Plates of olives, cut fresh vegetables, cheeses and crackers
Pumpkin bread ( banana, date, sweet breads)

WHEN YOU JOIN THE PARTY PLEASE SEND A MAIL TO ME ON THE MAIL ADDRESS BELOW so that we know for how many people we have to prepare turkey and please contact me to help coordinate dishes.
